Those fights are at least as entertaining the second time around, especially with cutting straight to the fights without the extra stuff. The show itself wasn't clear on how they'll determine who gets those spots. Then again, maybe it's a "losers bracket" kind of thing and they'll compete against each other for them. Anyway, out of the losers, I think Warhead's the only one of them I can't imagine potentially earning one based on their performances tonight. The ABC site said it would be single elimination, but that tournament format, by definition, does not have wild cards. Now, they mentioned there being wildcard spots, but I'm not sure just how many are up for grabs, or the details of its tournament structure. But it still never recovered fully, and eventually got thrown over the screws onto the wall, where neither its blade nor its actual wheels could get any purchase.

Well, at least Nightmare isn't completely helpless when flipped over. It completely shattered one of Warrior Clan's drones, but didn't fare as well against the main bot. Nightmare fared better against its successor.

But the builders of Warrior Clan were also familiar faces, being the team that built Son of Whyachi. We've seen Nightmare in action from the clips I and Known Unknown posted earlier in this thread. Warrior Clan: The last match of the night did not disappoint. No KO, but the winner was so obvious they didn't even need to show the announcement.

But in this one, the driver of Biteforce did an excellent job of outflanking Warhead, dominating the fight from start to finish. Biteforce: Another fight featuring a nasty spinner. I could've seen the judges going either way on that one.

It's opponent was someone I remember from the Comedy Central series as the builder of lightweight division robot Tentomushi see it in action here against Dr. When I saw it in action, it did look rather unwieldy. Wrecks: When the hosts talked about Wrecks' unique movement system, I wasn't sure what they meant. If Razorback were just a little sturdier, the result might've been different. But that was actually a pretty close fight, seeing how Icewave was smoking after earning its win. Once that wheel came off, it was the beginning of the end. But it just wasn't sturdy enough to withstand the hits. Razorback: Razorback seemed to have the right idea to go right after Icewave before its spinner could get up to speed. So, here's what I thought of the matches. The Living Guildpact rules that coffee is an acceptable substitution for rest as specified in subsection … whatever. The others are new (or at least, I don't remember them).Įdited 20th Jun '15 12:58:06 PM by Lightblade I remember Nightmare and Warhead from the Comedy Central series.
